The Steinberg UR28M is a compact yet powerful audio interface that provides exceptional sound quality suitable for desktop recording setups. Equipped with 4 inputs and 6 outputs, this interface ensures versatile connectivity and flexibility for both home and studio recording environments.

It features two high-quality D-Pre microphone preamps with switchable phantom power, Hi-Z instrument inputs, as well as S/PDIF I/O on RCA coaxial connectors, which makes it a versatile choice for a wide range of recording needs. Additionally, the UR28M includes a stereo mini input jack, which is ideal for connecting portable audio devices for referencing tracks.

Version 2 of the UR28M firmware brings enhanced functionality, including iPad connectivity and new DSP-powered guitar amp simulator effects available as VST 3 plug-ins. This firmware update is available free of charge and users also receive a complimentary copy of Cubase AI 7.

The interface offers precise control over output levels with a single master volume knob capable of managing three stereo output pairs or all six outputs simultaneously. The dspMixFx mixer and Cubase software allow you to set up multiple monitoring mixes for different output configurations. Additionally, it features easy-to-use rotary knobs for adjusting input signal levels and headphone outputs.

For added convenience, the UR28M includes Dim, Mono, and Mute buttons, as well as accurate four-segment LED metering for both inputs and outputs. With USB connectivity, the UR28M seamlessly integrates with Mac or Windows computers, making it a versatile tool in any recording setup.
